I believe that humanity has gone as far as it can go in the direction of competition and self-interest. The pendulum is swinging in the opposite direction now: the meek shall inherit the earth, the western women will save the earth, we are the ones we've been waiting for. We bring heart-based wisdom in service to all of humanity. We carry enough peace in our hearts to be the calm at the center of the storm. We bring enough compassion to create a culture of kindness, and to spark an awareness of our true nature so that humankind may create from a place of interconnectedness and oneness at last. I am a writer, a mom, a wife, and very fortunate to be working within the gifted women of Imagine the Good Foundation. We seed circles using the documentary, "Heart to Lead - Women as Allies for the Greater Good," and we host a letter writing circle which unites women residing in prison with women in the outside world called Inward Journey.

ON U.N. WOMEN'S CIRCLES CONNECTING
Laurie McCammon, MSAEd, Scarborough, Maine....So happy to be attending my second UN CSW. I hope to be of service to furthering the progress towards regional conferences which lead to an international conference on women, and my passion would be for them to be designed to incorporate circle principles throughout. With Ann Smith and Cheryl Gould, I am a "founding mama" of We Are Enough for which I am co-authoring a book and helping to build a broad coalition of women's groups to observe Mother's Day in solidarity by holding grassroots peace rallies. I was formerly CEO of Imagine the Good Foundation and Founder of the Women's Institute of Maine. I am also a freelance writer, blogger and videographer, with all my work centering around the huge potential of the arising feminine at this special time on our planet. I am looking forward to seeing all of you and hearing about all the amazing work each of you are doing on behalf of women, girls and the environment.
