How have you been called to leadership? At what levels? In what areas?
Over the years I have been an anthropology professor and mother, but in the past decade I have found myself stepping forward to develop community, and increasingly to gather women into leaderful groups. In 2005 I co-founded an initiative called LightPages to increase the participation of women, especially older women, on the Internet with the intention to create a more feminine and relational Internet culture. In Ways Women Lead, I'm standing for the Internet connectivity of local in-person events and communities, toward a women's global culture of peace and understanding.

What attracted you to Ways Women Lead?
Initially, the idea that non-governmental and grassroots women might plan and execute their own world event called me to the Sophia event to be held in Bulgaria. As the Sophia project evolved into Ways Women Lead, and I learned more about Bulgaria, I realized that there was an ancient root of spirituality and connection to the land in Bulgaria that was calling me at a gut level... it was a piece of the puzzle, the inner call that leads me and that I follow with great commitment.

How do see yourself partnering with Ways Women Lead's projects?
I'm bringing my passion for women transforming the Internet behind the events planned by Ways Women Lead, helping design a connecting matrix that can continue to grow Ways Women Lead projects.
