FORUM ON CONCEPTUAL STRUCTURE

I am a principal scientist, inventor, software architect, software designer, developer and project manager. I am extremely intelligent and have an insatiable curiosity and drive to understand the inner workings of the mind and the universe at large.

I am working to build a smarter planet by revolutionizing the future of computation. I have gone far beyond the representation of information, to the direct representation and computation of abstractions, concepts, and thought. I have discovered an alternative to the representation and computation of "information" that is based on the formal principles of representation and computation used by the brain itself.

I am designing and developing software that will turn the entire internet into a planetary scale distributed intelligence. Think of it as a planetary scale distributed brain that can utilize the computational capacity of all participating computers on the internet and make that capacity available to its users. However, I am not just talking about distributed computation or cloud computing. I am talking about a single planetary scale distributed system of artificial cognition. One with a single planetary scale "mind" that can learn, perceive, and understand the meaning of information, not just manipulate symbols. A system that can learn and understand the meaning of, communicate in, and be "programmed" using natural language. A system that can automatically learn, integrate and extend most of humanities abstract knowledge simply as a byproduct of users interactions with the system. A system that allows anyone to add to the sum total of humanities knowledge simply by using the system. A system that allows anyone to incrementally refine, extend and reuse preexisting knowledge on a planetary scale, in any desired context, at any desired level of abstraction, to any desired degree of detail without the need to manually integrate distinct algorithms, knowledge representations or programs.
