I am a woman who has been empowered by other women for more than thirty years. Sitting in circle with these women through all ages and stages of my life makes the journey an ongoing process I am willing to take. I am a wife, mother, grandmother, farm women, poet, artist and the founder of Wisconsin Rural Women’s Initiative. Twelve years ago I recognized that farm and rural women are a hidden population. I wanted to share my experience of circle with them in ways that could help them find their voice, become empowered and share their transformation in sustainable ways. Thus, Gathering Circles are the core of the work of WRWI. Through personal development weekends, Women Gathering Women Facilitator Training and the Heart to Heart Woman Talk newsletter, these grass roots leaders are creating networks of support for themselves and their circle sisters. It is organic, grass roots, and empowering. It helps me great each day with gratitude.
