LightPage networks I participate in
I am a daughter, mother, grandmother, & survivor of domestic violence. I love to be out in nature and love and respect all animals. I enjoy visiting with friends and co-workers and have great passion for the DV field. I work with both men and women with the goal of ending violence not only in the home, but also worldwide. I do this work with respect and after healing myself and attaining my doctorate in 2009--of which I'm very proud. I love the idea of women working together to bring about respect and love in our world. As I read of Gather the Women...I thought YES! Let's do it!

My Dream
To be able (as a woman and for all women) walk down a street, walk on a trail, walk in a park, and/or walk anywhere I/we choose alone without fear. And to walk with a man because I/we choose to not because I/we need protection.

Interests
Sitting by the water (river, Puget Sound, a lake, or the Ocean and just breath in the peace and energy renewal it provides. Beauty in nature--watching the squirrels in my backyard or anywhere--a squirrel lover I am--have you ever kissed the nose of a squirrel or woke up with its tail hair brushing against your nose and cheek? I have. I love watching my dogs play or sleep and the purring of my cats. Enjoy laughter with family and friends as well as tears. Continuing to learn self-care. Warm cup of tea or coffee with a friend. Encouraging peaceful communication even when passionate about a topic.
