WHAT CAN I DO?

I was reading this from a book this morning and thought I would share it with you. "The best of three minutes a day"

___________________________________________

When you consider the vastness of world problems, you may ask yourself, "What can I possibly do about any of them?"

The very fact that you conscientiously ask yourself that question means that you are on the road to providing your own part of the answer.

Take even a small step towards improving your surroundings and be prepared for a surprise. You will be startled at how quickly God opens doors for you when you are fired by hope, not blanketed despair.

These few tips may help you:

* Remember that the rebuilding of a good world starts with you as much as it does with anybody.

*Be a doer, not a complainer. Cynics, defeatists and other "nay-sayers" serve little purpose by grumbling from the sidelines.

*In short, replace a shout of "Why doesn't somebody do something?" with the calm, determined question "What can I do?"

Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and keep it. (lk 11:28)

Inspire me, Spirit of Wisdom, to grapple with problems, not merely talk about them. _________________________________
