Dear Ones,

I'm writing to share Sally Schuman's post on Bruce's Facebook timeline. Sally is Bruce's sister:

To Bruce's dear friends:

This is his sister Sally, writing to let you know that Bruce is now in residential hospice care in his home town of Santa Barbara, California. His cancer, diagnosed 20 months ago, is no longer treatable. He is now receiving round-the-clock loving, attentive, palliative care. There is no precise timeline yet ... it can't be known ... but both his cognition and his physical mobility are seriously impaired and changing daily ... such a loss for a once brilliant and strong man. I am heartbroken.

I invite you all to share your reminiscences, appreciations, gratitude for your time connected to Bruce ... your work together (your co-creation), gratitude for your time connected to Bruce ... your shared visions of moving the people and the planet forward to a better place.

I cannot say for sure that he will see what you write here, or be able to understand it, but I will make every effort to make that happen. I can see that the posts are read to him or read them to him myself when I go to California next week.

But even if he is unable to take in what you write, I believe we will all be comforted by words of appreciation and gratitude from you, his community, both local and global, for his being here with us for a time.
