Just to let you know my experience with writing Oprah has been amazing - I have noticed that within a month or two after writing about a particular topic I think would make a great show idea, I will see the theme visited on her show. Please know that I do not think that my letters alone were the ones that sparked the show concept - probably it was the dozens that were written asking for the same topic to be addressed. Yes, as the quote goes, "when two or more are gathered"... Oprah certainly holds the pulse of what needs to be addressed in this world, and each one of us, holding a influential position or not, can make a difference through the passionate letters written in mass. We are the pulse - I say send the letters and your requests - this is one powerful vehicle for what addresses or changes the "mass consciousness" on this planet. And so it is...

Introductory remarks of Chapter

No book of Thealogy would be complete without discussing and acknowledging the Divine Feminine Principle and the part that Spirit has played, is playing, and will be playing in the advancement and evolution of humankind. Of course this is a vast subject and could never hope to include the countless players in the ever-unfolding drama; however, we can highlight some major players and principles. It is therefore hard to know where to start, but I believe following a time line from the beginning to the present and forward will probably make the most sense to the readers.

What does the evolution of humankind owe to the Divine Feminine?

IN THE BEGINNING

Is the Absolute Source knowable? This question is best addressed by working from some propositions, paradoxical, and otherwise.

First, scripture says the Absolute Source (God/ess) is unknowable; yet scripture says we were created in God/ess’s image and therefore to know ourselves is to know God/ess. So in one sense the Absolute Source of the creating impulse may seem to be an Unknowable Essence; yet to the degree that a person knows their own self and powers does that person know the Source. The first Being(s) were created in the image of God/ess, undifferentiated and androgynous. The first Being on earth was called Eve (where Eve translates to Mother of All Living), and subsequently Elohim from other dimensions combined with Her to give birth to humanity, which subsequently divided itself into the female and male sexes (male aspect broke apart from ‘fe’male). Thus, it could be deduced that the Creating Source of All That Is, is the Divine Mother/Female Principle which in actual fact encompasses both male and female aspects (Isis-Osiris; Shiva-Shakti; Jesus-Mary; Tahirih-The Bab).

In view of the above points thus far established for working purposes here in Thealogy, it can be said that the Source of our Being is the Divine Female/Mother Principle. It is important to note that humanity doesn’t get to the Garden of Eden and the Fall stories until after the Cycle of the Goddess and the beginning of the Paternal Cycle when the male had separated out of the original female prototype.

I want to emphasize here that the main reason that the Divine Feminine Voice is ringing out so clearly now as an important aspect of ushering in the Cycle of Balance, is that it is necessary to counter the long-suffering of marginalization, distortion, and often obliteration that Womankind has undergone during the Patriarchal Cycle. In due course the pendulum will reach a middle harmonizing zone for all who dwell on earth.

When mentioning some of the Great Female players in the book - this is what I wrote about Oprah:

OPRAH WINFREY 29 January 1954 –
If any woman is a messenger of God in this age, I would suggest it is Oprah Winfrey. Some may see her as just a clever ‘businesswoman’. Yet as a clever ‘businesswoman’, she is proactive in social-cultural-spiritual matters and is a moving force, which has greatly improved the plight of many. Her kind of business positively impacts the fabric of society and humankind, and thus she is an example of power being applied in a spiritual manner. Her accomplishments so far are endless and are growing at an ever- growing rate. I suggest that she is the one person (along with her crew and supporters) who has upraised the position of the black people and especially women of all races. Oprah has rescued the lives of many and brought spiritual healing to them through her programs and humanitarian works. She indeed is an international ambassador and icon of our age.

Starr*: So as you can see, I agree; yet I think the women being called to activate, need to get their goals and charters made clear first - which in my opinion needs to incluede the equality of women in all phases of life being written into the document and charters, so that at the end of the activity they are not put, once again, into secodary positions.

Oprah has power and influence all over the world. So why don't we just be brave and ask her to help this cause without any more delay?

What have we got to loose?

If we do ask, we might gain so much.

I have learned over the years that it is better to try and fail... than never to try because we are too scared of 'what might be'.
