February 2008| The Goddess Network

Dear Co-Creators:

This month, I am making preparations to travel to Fiji to receive the Oneness Blessing and become a Oneness Facilitator.  This is an energetic transmission that many world spiritual leaders feel will uplift humanity to new levels of consciousness.  The purpose is to inspire us to know that we are all One, no matter where we live, what our socio-economic status, or our wisdom tradition.

The Oneness Movement is generated by Sri Amma Bhagavad in India, who are actually two people divinely inspired to impart a special energetic transmission. This Deeksha is a way of driving light into the mid-brain, which is said to open a person up to new levels of awareness.  It initiates a neurobiological change in the brain that enables the senses to be free from constant interference of the mind. A natural clarity of perception occurs along with feelings of joy and a connection to Oneness in everything.

The Oneness Movement has been interesting to me for the last several years, since I received a blessing from Sai Maa Lakshmi Devi, a gifted spiritual teacher from India, who teaches here in the U.S. as well as worldwide.  This first time I received Deeksha from her if felt as it my entire head was being pried open, and a calm state of awareness set in. There is an uplifted feeling and an attunement to all that is Good and is God. You are receptive to your true nature in this state. The Oneness blessing is an extension of this, with the divine energy generated by Bhagavad.  In many religions, it's called the receipt of grace.  I feel both honored and humbled to be one light among many who can transmit this to you when I return.

At the time of this writing, I am in California with Sri Raniji, clearing old energies and patterns in the five Koshas and preparing to fully embody the blessing.  When I return from Fiji, where the training will commence, I'll be better able to serve humanity, and support a world vision of peace and compassion, by giving this blessing.  I hope I can see you sometime in 2008 when we can do this important work together. It's about elevating humanity to a mind and heart full of peace and prosperity.

Today, we are faced with an amazing opportunity to move the mind from manifestation to the realization of our true nature. I've been teaching you about the power of the mind, and the benefits of positive thinking and affirmations for many years.  But it is time to go beyond this to dwell in the possibility of who we truly are.  It is with great hope and optimism that this spiritual work will positively affect you too.  No matter if you are Pagan, Muslim, Buddhist, Sikh, Jewish, Christian, or worship the Divine in your own backyard garden, the truth of who you are is evident.  You are all One. And it is time for everyone to open to this knowing.  I believe it is possible to live our lives with greater degrees of meaning and purpose when we join in this idea of Oneness collectively.

So, dear ones, we will connect again in late April, when I've brushed the trail dust off my dungarees, and have more insight to share.  May you be well and deepen your connection to the Divine within. May you begin to travel a path leading toward a greater sense of love and light for all.

Our Readers Ask Char for Advice!

Sheri writes, "I will be a first-time grandmother in February ...shortly after my 43rd birthday!   All the grandparents in our family are called grammy, grandma or grandpa.  I want something different!  I've gotten into the "goddess" idea a lot more and want something simple that would exemplify a "goddess grandma."  I can't find anywhere a name that fits.  What would a grandma goddess be called?

I suggested "Gaia, the Mother of All Living" since a grandma's love is so huge and all- encompassing.  Sheri wrote back to say she decided on "Maia" which seems to combine Gaia, Gram, and Mothering ideas - and reports that her kids like it, her husband likes it and she' s happy!  A win- win all the way around!
