Hi.

I posted this announcement -- because this conference theme -- "women mending a divided world" -- is a very graceful way of describing the reason I have been involved in supporting women's network project for five years and more -- (we first started running Gather the Women on our systems in 2004, and had some related projects already in place....)

I got this announcement as a postcard yesterday -- so I scanned it and posted the images here. I will probably try to contact the conference organizer, who is a professor at Pacifica Graduate Institute. I'll be interested to understand how she relates her "mending and weaving" concept to what we can do today on the Internet.

The conference will be held at La Casa de Maria, an interfaith retreat house in Santa Barbara. The address is 800 El Bosque Road, Santa Barbara CA 93108.
