We, the women of the world, are in deep gratitude for the developing women’s super agency at the United Nations called UN Women. We believe it to be essential that the valuable insights and perspectives of grassroots women be heard, acknowledge and included. We pledge our support as grassroots women leaders to work in partnerships with UN Women in making the Platform for Action, CEDAW, MDGs, living documents. Committed to making an essential contribution, UN Women Circles are forming around the world to discern issues that matter to women and girls in their local communities. These issues will be sent to our governments and UN Women to act as the foundation for an authentic and empowering two-way communication system. Uniting us on common ground and fostering our mutual commitment will improve the status of women and girls. The second phase of UN Women Circles Campaign will empower women and girls as community organizers in co-creating solutions.

Tomorrow I leave for Alaska to attend the Episcopal Diocese of Alaska's women's leadership conference with Native Alaskan women leading the way. They will be the first to participate in the UN Women Circle workshop where they will identify their three critical issues that will be sent to local, state and our national government as well as UN Women.
