Maintaining Peace and Love

Introduction

Peace is nothing but a state of balance within, free from disturbance, restlessness, unpleasant thoughts and emotional instability. Love is natural to us; an unseen unconditional force that connects us with authentic consideration and compassion for self and for others. Both of them are intrinsically inherent in all of us. However, over a period of time, they have become dull in most of us. So our duty to ourselves and to others is to awaken these enriching qualities in us and then maintain them by sharing with others. Recognizing that what is inside us is what we share and spread. And it is up to us; in a mode of awareness to cultivate peace and love even in the middle of the disastrous situations.

The Three Powers inside of us all the time:

- Power of creation: Where there is deep longing for a certain aspect of life, it can be created.

- Power of Dissolution: Whatever is standing in the way as a negative energy, it can be dissolved.

- Power of Maintenance: While being in the middle of two extreme opposite viewpoints/situations, the balance of love and peace can be maintained.

Inner intrinsic Awareness being the eternal key to such a beautiful balance of life by constantly using the above mentioned powers in all the walks of life. Peace and Love is the core around which the quality of the whole life revolves.

Process

Four aspects applicable to any area of life and to develop further and further in this natural field are:

1. To Know (Study all as it relates to the main theme as above).

2. To Be (In regular silence, relating to the Reality/Truth of (as #1 To Know above as it is on an individual and collective basis).

3. To Experience the reality (share with people who can benefit from it).

4. To Act (In an authentic way to serve people through authentic interactions).

Practice Points

1. When we are established in our Sat-Chit-Anand (i.e. existence-Awareness-joy) nature with ongoing witnessing, watching our conduct, the way we behave in the world has lots to do with what we create in the world. The energy of our thoughts has lots to do with what is happening around us because this energy expands as we all are interconnected with everything and everyone. The onus is on me and when every individual takes the responsibility and remains accountable for every action they do and the results of their actions, we create a better world around us.

2. The secret here is to recognize and become the intrinsic nature (beyond the gunas/qualities) and perform from that divinity in which we have arisen. This spiritual/universal awareness does not downgrade the physical vehicle (modified forms) we have. It rather uses it to perform many roles/activities; but not attached to the outcomes of the actions. This is another perspective of infinite joy and love, but also being free from (expectations) at the same time.

3. By being constantly engaged in appropriate action for the common good of all. Establish a happy medium between two extreme and opposite points of view/situation. In all hostilities one can be in the neutral position, yet endowed with compassion and consideration for all.

4. In the mode of awareness of the Truth as it is and as it relates to others viewpoints, cultivate calm and maintain cool in your own heart.

5. Practice “Silence" constantly, while contemplating the Infinite in which all manifestations arise and dissolve. Do this as an ongoing process.

6. All actions are prompted by individual qualities; however, remembering always that one in reality is beyond or more than these qualities. And it is with That (which is beyond limits), we can transform as we aspire to and perform actions of "Peace and Love" accordingly. Then let it go.

7. Basically with the life approaches mentioned above being applied to the everyday day-to-day experience, one will be successful in achieving health and balance in their life with infinite joy and love...positive energy! Noting that the approaches above don’t cost a thing to any individual, only ones effort and dedication is at expense. The benefits of this far out weigh any monetary needs money can buy. In a mystical, almost alchemic way, transformation steadily emerges within the whole and we are simply part of this unfoldment as it is happening in the present moment.

Meditation

1. Sit comfortably with your back straight and palms up and open on your thighs.

2. Take long deep breaths in and out for a couple of minutes tuning into your life force energy (deep breathing with full awareness) and find your body and mind relaxing very quickly.

3. Breath normally and focus on your natural flow of breath moving in and out from nostrils to navel and navel back to nostrils.

4. Start to say I AM, I AM for a minute or so.

5. Bring your attention in the center of your heart and feel the rhythm of your heart flowing calmly and peacefully.

6. As you go deeper and deeper into your heart. Say I love myself unconditionally, I accept myself, and I forgive myself. As you say this, feel its vibrations filling you fully with unconditional love.

7. Now expand this unconditional love to everyone in the whole universe even to those who have ever hurt you. Say I forgive everyone. I accept everyone as they are. Feel the unconditional love expanding everywhere from your heart. Stay there for as long as you want.

8. Bring your attention towards your breath and say I am a peaceful being, I am a divine being, I am an infinite being. Gently open your eyes.

9. Visualize yourself working in the world with everyone from the energy of unconditional love and peace.
