WOMEN LIGHTING THE WORLD August 18th-21st at The DeKoven Center Racine, Wisconsin www.dekovencenter.org Come to Wisconsin to our Gathering on beautiful Lake Michigan on the historical grounds of the DeKoven Center. We’ll gather in circle to deepen our relationships, share our unique gifts, awaken our divine feminine spirits and open ourselves to collaboration with women’s groups from across the country and the world. Thursday afternoon and evening will be a time for setting up the Sacred Feminine Boutique and Silent Auction in the Great Hall. Once again women are welcome to bring their artful creations to offer for sale at the conference. We are also hoping that every woman will bring an item or two for the Silent Auction that will benefit the scholarship fund. Afterwards we’ll enjoy dinner together and spend the rest of the evening in a social activity that will give us time to reconnect with old friends and get to know new ones. Friday Morning The GTW Conveners will introduce themselves and share some important information about Gather the Women, after we open the circle with song and movement provided by Regional Coordinator ( Karie Hillery (www.karie.com) and each woman will have a chance to share with us, who they are and what their passions are. Friday Afternoon, Holly Whitcomb,(kettlewoodretreats.com) author, minister and inspirational speaker, will present “Living in Thanksgiving: Gratitude as Transforming Spiritual Practice.” Later Friday afternoon, Jeannie DeRousseau will lead an interactive presentation on Communications. Friday Evening, Jean Reddemann (www.jeanreddemann.com) whose Native American name is Wasaki Emani Wi, which means Strong Walking Woman, will be leading us in a Native American Water Ceremony on the shores of Lake Michigan. See details below of what to bring for this ceremony. Saturday Morning, Jean Reddemann will be teaching us Native Wisdom about women. Early Saturday Afternoon, RCs Diane Jung and Dorothy Meyer-Levine will be presenting “Light our Fire,” a workshop designed to “ignite our creative juices from within and then explode outwardly in various forms of expression.” Later Saturday afternoon Joy Adams, Nancy Naumann and Mary Cunningham will facilitate a session for all GTW regional coordinators. Saturday Evening, Romnea (aka Rosie Kubit) will lead us in Middle Eastern Dance.
