Doug, I had not thought of Camp Bill Lane for many years, but also have fond memories of my boy scout days there. Once, several of us boys came across a rattlesnake and surrounded it, pummeling it with rocks. The story was told and re-told and the snake got larger and larger. We were quite the 11 year old heros. Our troop leader (troop 7) was Mr Gieger, father of Norm Gieger. (sp)
