My goodness, I can’t believe the memories of some people and the lack of mine. Let see what I can add. I went to Stonehurst Grade School while we were living on Johanna Dr. down in Shadow Hills area. Old Vienna Restaurant was at the end of Johanna and Sunland Blvd and then on down Sunland was an orange grove and a stand where they made frozen orange cones. Delicious!! Near Stonehurst School was a park where all our Boy and Girl Scout meetings were held. They also had (what I thought at the time) a great haunted house in the cloak room. It seems to me that the park and recreation always had something going on and there was always someone there to over see things. I can remember a doll shows, pet shows, square dancing and hand crafts. I remember making wood fiber flowers, then putting a pin or earring backings on them. (That should bring back some memories for the girls.) I think most of this went on during summer months.
