My children went to a small primary school with 34 students where all the children looked after each other.
The Tweed Valley is still a very beautiful rural area, but unfortunately it is being more and more developed, and I fear for the loss of the habitat and flora and fauna in the area.
Australia is a lucky country and I am very blessed to live in such a wonderful place.
I do whatever I can to stop the destruction of the rainforest and coastal areas.
I am actively involved in environmental issues in our area. |

I have been attending a week-long International Indigenous Leadership Gathering in Lillooet BC this past few days, which ends on Thursday. There have been many references to the children, as is always the case among indigenous peoples. Thank you so much for the efforts you are making and continue to make in this regard. Our main view is a lovely pond with a gazebo in the middle with two wooden bridges connecting. The geese have hatched their babies and they will be swimming. Surrounding the pond is an array of trees and bushes in bloom. We will have friends visiting and I plan to ring the bell, hold hands in silence, and pray that one day those who do not have what I have, will have. God Bless you all, and Happy Mother's Day |

It is an absolutely gorgeous, peaceful place with a large man-made lakes, a bridge, pine trees, palm trees and lots of other trees. It has a variety of flowers and plants and even some willows. The lake sits between two housing communities and the lake itself stretches and curves around for miles. There is a white dock on the Eastern part of the main lake. I will be standing there. This lake also had tons of visitors and ducks and is a popular place for families and picnics and subdued good times. This is where I will be standing! I hope at least one person, if not many, from Las Vegas will join me! It's such an important cause and it take so very little of our time. There's power in numbers! Please join me! My mother lives in a home where emotional abuse is the norm. I have Post Traumatic Stress Disorder from the man who is my father. We will be "standing" not in a peaceful park but in the tense fearful home of abuse.
As we did last year, we will answer the question from our abuser, "what do you think you are doing?" while we stand quietly. We are standing for peace in our life and others ... for now and in the future. "Yea, right", our abuser says as we continue to stand while holding hands and drawing comfort in the fact that we, in a small way, are helping ourselves and all others. |

We are all physically and spiritually nurturing each other and our sons and daughters, Mothers and Fathers that are here and still to come.
We are many in the one and one in the many - both at the same time. We are the ones we have been waiting for. We are up to it, ever creating a new world that works for all.
Mother, Father, Spirit, blesses us all on this day and every other. Together we stand - together we stand.

I will be standing at the edge of a bluff overlooking our very pristine lake. The mental image in my mind will be of my very good friend Mercy Chidi, who has poured out her life in Meru, Kenya as a woman on the frontlines helping AIDS victims and orphans. Let's pay homage to those extraordinary women who are doing work in some of the toughest places on the planet.
