OUR PULSE

Global events seem to heighten our inner awareness that we are one global family. Standing Women’s moment of silence on May 13, 2007 was no exception. Many responses have come to the site about the inner sense of connectedness on that day. Our heart survey unfolds some of the qualities around this feeling, and what it continues to evoke in us.

Where we are: Living our lives, growing, and dreaming the global dream.
Over half of us report that one of our dreams is of a global sisterhood. At the same time most of us find ourselves nurturing our dreams locally as we do our best in our daily lives, and use our longings as motivations to grow and learn (almost 3/4). Perhaps global moments of prayer and meditations (3/4 called) build our awareness of connection with others also living their local lives, dreaming of a better world...

Next standings: globally on Mother's Day 2008 and monthly?
To date our collective heart is largely appreciating the power of standing together globally (3/4). And while we express heart callings of all kinds, we seem to be leaning toward monthly standings (1/3) AND standings on Mother’s Day next year (1/3).

Next standings: whatever arises locally to fuel the global momentum
Reading between the lines of our survey with its comments, we are clearly an orchestra with many tones, a harmony of ideas and potentials. Perhaps, the promptings of our one heart are calling each of us forward in her own way, each "standing" important in creating a matrix of intention for humanity's positive future.

Where we're going: Looking to connect locally, to cocreate?
Many of us did NOT report ourselves to be deeply connected to circles of friends and family (over 1/2). At the same time many are called to more standings in local fellowship (also over 1/2). Perhaps, there is one call arising, to feel connected to each other, to sense ourselves globally while relating and gathering locally. Perhaps, those of us looking to cocreate with others on specific projects or issues (only 1/4 at present) foreshadow what this feeling of connectivity may be prompting.

We are grateful for the energy that continues to flow here, and anticipate shifting our system to track local standings around the world until our next global standing is planned. Please stay tuned as we build our global village!
