Lifetime Skills and Experience
I am an anthropologist who has worked with intercultural documentary film and television for 30 years. I specialize in cross-cultural communication through video, in broadcasting and festivals, primarily. I approach this work as the service of the Earth and of Spirit. I am learning to trust the workings of Spirit in ways that are wonderful and frightening. I also experienced a series of three life-threatening illnesses in the 1990s that were some sort of initiation for me. This has been a critical part of my journey, and has helped me find courage that I would love to help others find without having to experience the ‘spiritual 2x4’ that I apparently needed…!

The Call in my Heart
After my ‘initiation’ and leaving Chicago Public Television, I founded Living Earth Television, a nonprofit organization based near Chicago. Our work is to create and operate the world’s first global educational, noncommercial television network, which will carry programs made in local communities all over the world. Our first series will be 13 half-hour programs from Chinese TV producers, about people, communities, spirituality, arts, children, sustainability, good works…. This is the culmination of a lifetime of work for me, and I truly consider it my assignment from the Universe.

What I Want to Make Happen
I have worked long and hard to be able to say this… I hope it isn’t offensive to anyone, but I have learned that money is energy, and that asking for this form of energy to support the work that makes the Universe bloom is OK! So here goes… what I want to manifest is… Funding! LETV needs to raise about $300,000 for our first series plus $200,000 to continue to develop the network for the next year. My desire for the retreat is to come away with support, contacts, new ideas – and commitments. We have official tax-exempt status with the IRS… so that helps! I really do hope that this project will inspire and involve others at the retreat. I go to semi-annual celebrations at the solstices with a Goddess Network in my local area – and I am hoping that we are collectively laying the groundwork for a global Goddess Network. And just between us, LETV is here to be the voice of the Goddess on the planet – to help restore balance in media and in so many other ways. So… we’ll see!
