ON EVOLUTIONARY WOMEN
Always reaching higher into both the physically and spiritually known (and unknown) would probably describe my life's quest most accurately.
My personal evolution has taken me from being a student of science (B.A. in chemistry & mathematics) to briefly working for environmental awareness in its infancy stages in 1970.
I then proceeded to being a health educator for ACHD (Pittsburgh area) and Philadelphia Office of MH/MR. This was followed by a career move to health care advocate at Magee-Womens Hospital, and later, Mercy.
My sister and I next created Allison Park Flowers & Gifts in 1986. (While I am no longer a business partner, my sister continues that endeavor.)
The last 14 years have found me in complementary health work with both flower essences & Reiki. This winter I have been studying EFT and planning to incorporate it.
I have come full circle in the environmental area as I am a volunteer naturalist at a nature center. I am also involved in a pilot study of water quality in my local watershed.
I am amazed at the progress which has been made in having alternative healing ideas become more accepted in the mainstream. For that purpose, I will continue to devote my time and energies! I am hoping for new inspiration, and possibly new connections, to carry the ideal forward.
