ON EVOLUTIONARY WOMEN
I am Patricia Bell Holt. I am a wife, mother, grandmother, reader and learner. I find joy in people, animals and nature. I enjoy this lovely world.
Although I had many plans when I retired in 1992 what I ended up doing was studying the teachings of Charles and Myrtle Fillmore founders of the Unity School of Christianity. I completed the school's Personal Development Program and am finishing their Unity Licensed Teacher Program.
During that time I became acquainted with the writings of Barbara Marx Hubbard. I was very happy to find out about this retreat.
For many years I prayed that I would be able to stop eating meat. I read an article about the torture that animals go through in the slaughter houses and that turned out to be what enabled me to stop eating meat.
I am blessed to have a group of women friends who meet to study spiritual books and conduct a Mastermind Prayer. We focus on uplifting our consciousness, prayer for ourselves, families, community and the world. There are six of us all born in June or July, three black and 3 white. We are loving friends. I hope to get some ideas about what we can do as to projects or service from you at the retreat.
Another big joy for me is reseaching my family's history. My husband James and I have been married for over 30 years.

What do you want people to know about you?
I'm very glad to be here at this time and in this place. I want everybody to feel joy. It isn't dependant on the outer but bubbles up from within and eveyone has got it.
What is most important to you now?
Studying my family's history and learning what made them so positive, and brave enough to take chances, and what they were challenged with while they were living their lives and rearing children, who became happy in life. I want to share my findings as a model for people who feel victimized.
What gifts do you have for others?
The habit of looking for the good. It's always there but we must recognize it and use it.
What gifts would you like to receive from others?
Ideas, the secrets of focus, planning and ignition so I can get going on my next step. Friendship and company and support along the way.
