Dear Ram Bruce
I completely agree
As Einstein said you cannot solve the problem from the same level on which it started
War breeds War
This has been going on for over 2000 years
This primitive nation against nation conflict of win lose has now no efficacy in a Globally interconnected world
Humanity should speak up against the Elite and Global monetocracy which keep billions of people in economic and emotional slavery through thought manipulation
Thankfully the tide is turning
We need new human systems of interaction and Integral politics emphasising the creation of value systems and wellbeing and greater decentralisation of democracy
An emphasis should be based on happiness
Religions as Institutions are archaic self destructive and are not geared to an interior sprituality
They promote stories and myths only applicable to events which occurred sveral thosand years ago and are not applicable to a Globalised World
The Esoteric wisdom in all religion has a communiality
This should be taught in schools

Hi Bruce, et all,
Great Enlightement: "Feed what you want to grow". But how do you feed this wisdom into the mind- sets of Israel and Bush administrations for something real constructive to actually happen? Also the quote says:
>>>>If Israel truly wants peace, there's a more subtle, a more intelligent and more effective strategy to pursue than simply trying to kill the enemy and anyone else who happens to be in the vicinity.<<<
Completely agreed with this genuine approach. How do we reach out to the high-powered politicians who believe force can solve their long-outstanding problems. Even though they may militarily/forcefully stop-gap on a temporary basis, it will lead to suppression. And what then.........?
>>>It's this - instead of killing what threatens you, feed what you want to grow. Consider in what conditions peace can thrive, and create them, just as you would prepare the bed for the crops you want to plant. Find those among your opponents who also want peace, and support them. Make alliances. Offer your enemies incentives to change, and reward your friends.<<<
Wonderful! Very authentic philosophy indeed. However, the challenge still remains how this spirited vision going to be seen through practically in an action oriented fashion?
Do you think US new administration of Barak Obama-Hillary Clinton can sow some real seeds of this great enightened approach? Something I am genuinley waiting to see how Obama's statesmanship as a Spiritual Strategist is going to work out to turn things around? A great acid-test in the works! Or is it too much to expect?
Any thoughts in this direction please?
Peace is not far away if we are guided by the Spirit that is peace.
With peaceful vibrations........Ram

Thanks for this. Starhawk makes such an important point -- "Feed what you want to grow".
