I highly support this wonderful event as well. I am sorry that I will miss it but am visiting my family back east then. I met some of the awesome people organizing this at the recent Community Forum. There will be a number of local youth involved as well.

The VIP Reception to honor the youth who have written on the theme “What Would do to Change the World?” will be held on June 27 from 5-7pm at the home of Patty DeDominic and Gene Sinser. Guest speakers, having a non-partisan conversation, are Barbara Marx Hubbard and Mayor Marty Blum among others.

The Live Variety Show is on June 28 at the Marjorie Luke Theater at 6 PM. Guest Artists include, Perlene Thurston, Lois Mahalia, Hip- Hop Dancer & Choreographer, Tamarr Paul, Ron Paris and others. The weekend culminates in a youth-facilitated open-mic brunch at the Arts Fund from 11am-2pm on Sunday, June 29.

• Mayor Marty Blum will issue a Proclamation at the City Council Meeting on June 24th at 2pm. • Press Conference with the Mayor is scheduled for Wednesday, June 25th at 11:00am on the steps of City Hall in De la Guerra Plaza. • VIP Reception on Friday, June 27, at 2353 East Valley Road from 5-7pm. • The Live Variety Show is on June 28 at the Marjorie Luke Theater located at 721 E. Cota St. Doors open at 5:30pm – show begins at 6 PM. • The final event of the weekend, the youth-facilitated open- mic brunch, is on June 29 from 11am to 2pm at the Arts Fund. Channel 17 has graciously agreed to film these co-created ideas for change so that they are implemented. This entire weekend of events is a fundraiser in support of several youth groups, including Unity Youth, Info Shop, City at Peace, and Just Communities. We invite local businesses and individuals to provide underwriting sponsorships in the amount of $50,000. Other ways to support these events include purchasing blocks of tickets for youth and seniors.

People can buy tickets by going to the website http://www.HealingSoulofAmerica.org. Ticket prices range from $150 for VIP tickets, which includes admission to the VIP reception, $30 for General Admission, and $20 for children under 13 and seniors. The brunch is free but donations are appreciated.
