This would also be very useful if we ever decided to pursue the idea of doing regional Connects, which we have discussed from time to time and which might be revisited if tough economic times perdure.

If we had regional groups, Communications could further serve our members by helping publicize their events.

I believe that Interspirit has a way of doing this (forming regions), so we do not have to re-invent the infrastructure. We would just have to look at our current members and see whether there were some obvious regions. Bay Area is an obvious example.
