LightPage networks I participate in
Three years ago I experienced a profound shift in consciousness. The shift followed a series of openings which began some 14 years ago - including a shift in perception of time. The experience has created a greatly altered and prolonged experience whereby my sense of personal self, preferences, concerns, inner voice, memory etc have all vastly diminished. My past self identity as 'an artist' was let go as it no longer held any meaning along with my need for a personal relationship. For the last 3 years I have lived quietly, writing about my experiences, traveled in Australia and Europe meeting with people and discussing the possibility that we have the potential to experience a new way of being - beyond the limitation of who we have come to believe ourselves to be. I have made attempts to re-engage with the world by doing something practical outside of the field of 'consciousness' but find this has not been possible. 'Doing' anything has lost all meaning and yet this is not a negative experience - anything but - there is great freedom in allowing and waiting for what will occur. I no longer experience fear, anxiety, mistrust, self consciousness etc on anything like the scale I did before. People I have never met are no longer strangers but are received as friends. The wisdom that speaks in conversation but without thought or intention appears to create openings for other people to let go thoughts and emotions they have come to identify as their 'self'. Friends who were initially anxious or resistant to the change in me are now experiencing their own openings. It has taken these 3 years to come to terms with the shift I have experienced and to accept that this is now simply what is occurring - particularly to move beyond the confusion of emotion laden terminology such as 'spirituality'. Now it seems I am coming across initiatives such as yours and feel compelled to make contact.
