Housing Wanted! Must relocate (from Hawaii to CA) due to health reasons—

Seeking a studio or one bd apt, cottage or mobile home rental that accepts Section 8 housing voucher.

 -       Mature female age 58. Quiet, responsible, and trustworthy.

-       Excellent references, very good rental history, good relationship with landlords.

-       I do not participate in smoking, drinking, or illicit drug use.

 -       Approx rental amount of $1,200.   monthly

Due to a serious auto-immune health condition, I have a Section 8 housing voucher and am seeking a calm, drama-free environment. I must rest often, but am quite able to live independently.  I am mobile (ambulatory) and able to manage my health condition.

My name is Wendy, and I have been a 40-year resident of Hawai’i. My doctor has told me that I need to relocate to a climate does not exacerbate my medical condition. The toxic emissions from the volcano here, combined with the heat and humidity make my health worse. The sooner I get to a cooler climate with an approx. average temperature below 75 in the summer and approx. above 40 temp in the winter, the healthier I will be.

My ideal location is Coastal Central California, especially Santa Barbara. In the year 2000, I lived in Santa Cruz for four months, and my health was much improved. I am open to housing in other unknown areas with the right climate.

My time frame is flexible, but I would like to relocate by June 2018.

Am open to trade arrangements while I search for housing… will house sit or pet sit.

I am a professional artist and have been involved in sales, marketing and product development in the corporate world and now do freelance art. I am open to working part time in retail, and would love to be in the marketplace again, once I’m ready to explore my new-found health… and get back to expressing and sharing more joy.
