Here are more details on the sound workshop. You may want to print it out and share it with friends. If there is sufficient demand and we can work out the logistics, there may be an acoustic concert to follow the workshop on Star's land beginning in the late afternoon or early evening. Workshop attendees would attend this free, others would pay $10.

I was at one of Jennifer's workshops this past summer (which I traveled by car and train to get to in Auburn, California) and I loved it and her so much. Jennifer has a divine lightness of being. This is "no-ego" music. At the workshop she will show us part of her "Praises to the World" dvd or slides of the Island of Malta and the 4000bc temples where "Returning" was recorded. At this workshop, I felt spiritually uplifted and cleansed. I enjoyed the singing and the sounding, but it wasn't until I got home that I realized that my voice had opened up beautifully. I was hitting higher notes and mostly filled with the irrepressible urge to sing and give praises. You will only have to travel as far as Star's Carpinteria hills paradise, so please come. Jennifer is in high demand and journeys here to us. She is a professional recording star and sets what many would consider a very low price for her workshop. I added transportation costs to the $100 fee I paid this summer and absolutely considered myself the lucky one. I am so grateful to have the opportunity to help bring her to you, and thank Oceanna for her gift to me of the "Returning"CD a few years ago.

Many cultures have long believed that the world itself was created through sound, and some believe that illness is a musical problem, a result of a lack of harmony in the system. In this weekend workshop we will explore music as a spiritual practice and a path to opening our hearts and uncovering our true nature.

We will engage in a wide range of musical experiences from traditional and contemporary traditions, with a focus on women's expressions, designed to open our hearts and create equanimity, joy, ecstasy, and healing.

Our time together will include sessions of toning, chanting, harmony and rhythm, improvisational sounding, meditation and silence, in a safe, humorous and sacred environment. Jennifer will also show images from the recording of her acclaimed CD "Returning" in the world's oldest temples in Malta. The concert will offer Jennifer's beautiful lyrics and sultry voice with rock/blues/folk and some spiritual music! No musical experience is necessary for workshop
